Myrobertpattinson: Rob as a musician

Hell, I'd be lying if I claimed to know, for a fact, anything at all about Rob, besides his gracious nature that I have personally witnessed. But, based on the accounts of his musical tastes and his inspirations, and the soul that oozes out of his musical performances, we learn more about Rob the person. We hear Rob the soulful musician that is now rumored to be too scared to pursue music further for fear of "cheesing it out" like the plethora of other actor/musicians in Hollywood. Damn shame too because unlike those pre-packaged studio pop-tarts, our guy has actual talent for writing and performing music.

I Was Broken
Songwriter: Marcus Foster

I was lonely
I was tired, now I'm bound
My head is off the ground

For a long time, I was so weary
Tired of the sound I heard before
Knowing of the nights I'm out the door
Haunted by the things I did
Stuck between the burning light and the dusty shade

Said I, I used to think the past was dead and gone
I was wrong--so wrong
Elements of blindness make you strong--make you strong
In my times, I melted into many forms
From the day I was born, no
I know there's no place to hide
Stuck between the burning shade and the fading light

I was broken for a long time
But its over now
Said i was broken for a long time
But its over now

Yes, and you, yeah, you walk these lonely streets
Where people stand, people stand
And some people just can't
And I do pretend
I'm free from all the things that saved my friends
I was there until the end
And i know I can take the moon
Stuck between the burning shade and the fading light

I was broken for a long time
But its over now
