Robstenlovers interview!

Ya sabéis que el examiner está haciendo una serie de entrevistas a los >20-twi-bloggers más destacados y, como no podía ser de otra forma, le ha llegado el turno a nuestras muy queridas TOMs.

The head staff writers at Robsten Lovers won't reveal their true identities, preferring to go by their initials, "E," "K," and "M." They won't even share pictures of themselves, preferring to post pictures of their muses, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, instead. But the one thing they're not shy about is their love for Twilight. When they're not reporting the latest news on the filming of "New Moon" or "Eclipse," the Robsten Lovers are gathering evidence to prove that Robsten (the name given to Robert and Kristen's alleged romance) is very much alive and well, as shown in their recent post, "Robsten Romance Revisited!"

Q. Because it needs to be asked: Team Edward or Team Jacob?
We all agree on this one.....Team Edward with a twist! There is no denying how Rob makes us wish we were 23 again, but considering we're all happily married we chose to provide ourselves with another team choice....Team Robsten! I think -K- puts it best when she said "If there is one thing I love more than Edward it's the way Rob looks at Kristen. It's completely intoxicating!"

Q. OK, now that that's out of the way, on the rest of the questions. What is your favorite moment(s) in the Twilight series?
E: "It's Bella and Edward's reunion in Italy in New Moon. It's so bittersweet!"
K: "I LOVE when Edward takes Bella to the meadow at the end of Eclipse and he is finally ready to…uh-hem, have his way with her and she fights him off and he is like Why? "I love you. I want you. Right now!" I guess I’m a sexual tension kind of girl.
"M: "I'd have to say the first one that comes to mind is in Breaking Dawn when Bella awakes to her new life. I get such a kick out of it when she kisses Edward and then steps back to tell him he's been holding out on her. Their first day and night together give me chills! I think Edward says it best, "To be given everything you'd ever wanted, and everything you never thought to ask for .... " How could that not make a person happy!

Q. What is your favorite book in the Twilight Saga and why?
E: I'm torn between 'Twilight', because I love the story of how they fall in love, and 'Breaking Dawn' because I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
K: Probably Breaking Dawn...although I have never read the book of Jacob...am I terrible??? This is a big secret of mine as a Twilight Blogger!!!! Quite frankly I just don't give a hoot about anything Jacob--sorry. I love Breaking Dawn because I love the idea of a perfect child that sleeps through the night from birth and the then hot vampire sex after birthing that child, and I love a happy ending. I also adore the idea of a honeymoon on Isle Esme. I am also a big fan of Renesmee's story or lack there of, so much so that I wrote my own fanfic about Renesmee and the love triangle between Jacob and the other Vampiran (my name for half human/half Vampires)…it’s not finished but maybe I’ll add to our site when it is. Who knows???
M: I loved all the books for different reasons, but Breaking Dawn was my favorite! I think I went through the entire spectrum of emotions reading it!

Q. If you could ask any question of Stephenie Meyer, what would it be?
E: Can you pull some strings and cast my daughter as Renesmee in the 'Breaking Dawn' movie?
K: Why did you stop? You could write these stories forever….Oh and…can you please cast my friend’s daughter as Renesmee—she is a fairy like child that looks just like her!!!!
M: Would you ever consider expanding the series? I would love to see how Jacob and Renesmee turn out, and even how Bella, Edward, and the Cullen’s all deal with the Volturi in the future!

Q. Of all of the vampire abilities, which would you like to possess and why?
E: Not having to sleep. Then maybe I could find enough hours in the day to tackle the piles of laundry and dishes around my house.
K: I definitely would want Bella’s shield…I love that she can finally contribute to the safety of the Cullens after she is changed and that she can always protect her family with it…I can sleep at night knowing that in fantasyland Edward, Bella, and Renesmee are safe. (However…in my own version of Renesmee’s story, it is a memoir as she dies and tells her story from Heaven!)
M: I’d say Bella’s shield. I think it goes without saying that everyone’s first instinct is to protect what they love. Bella has the ability to take this instinct to the next level and it would be such a powerful tool as a parent or lover to have this gift!

Q. Name three words that describe you.
E: Tidy, stressed, and loving.
K: Passionate, determined, and loyal.
M: Devoted, caring, and fun.

Q. What inspired you to create your own Twilight site?
E: I needed a creative outlet to channel my Rob obsession, and because my husband wasn't into wearing a peacoat and slacks.
K: Honestly? I know I might get some bad press for saying this but I was a very loyal fan of one of the most popular Twi-sites and noticed she started not blogging on the weekends… I was missing the news so much on the weekends I started looking for it myself and emailing my bestie E…we realized there was a need for a good Weekend Newz including Twi Blog!!! E and I met at our kids’ speech sessions and bonded over the love of Twilight…we are both the kind of moms who are in survival mode and having this blog gives us one thing that is just for us!!! After we got going and we realized how much time and money it took, we needed help…and real life happened (I had surgery, went on vacate, and my grandpa died) By that point, we had a lot of readers and didn’t want to disappoint them so M started blogging with us…she has been a lifesaver!
M: I kind of fell into it! When the opportunity surfaced to be a guest blogger at Robsten Lovers I figured why not. I had never done a blog before in my life, but I’m a quick learner so I figured I would give it a try. I never imagined I would love doing this as much as I do! It turns out I found a way to satisfy my Twi-Cravings and meet a ton of great people who feel the same way I do! I also have to say that the blog has given me a voice! It’s provided a way for me to share my Twi-Love with others. Isn’t that the purpose of a blog? Teaming up with –K and E- has been a dream come true and we have become our own little family! We all want the same things for the blog, and it shows in the way we maintain and include our followers! Our site recognizes ever person out there who has something to say, and we want everyone to have an outlet to express themselves and their love for Twilight! Just consider us free therapy!

Q . What advice do you have for those who want to create their own Twilight site/blog?
E: Know what you are getting yourself into. It will rule your life. LOL!
K: You can do anything you put your mind too! I was just a closet Twilight Fan that skimmed the books and secretly crushed RPatz and Kristen too, and Ashley for that matter…I had no idea how to Twitter let alone Blog!!! Since I have met E, we started our own blog/twitter/facebook and have had almost 85,000 hits (update...we're about 750 K now!),been offered ads for our site, made contact with tons of Twi-fans all over the country and gotten to giveaway lots of fun merch (I feel like Oprah in my own way…it is so fun to give things away!!!), been to the MTV Movie Awards (RPATZ is just as dreamy in real life and Kristen is just as beautiful and awkward), E met Peter Facinelli, I got Kellan’s Lutz’s autograph, now we’re heading to Comic Con (update...been to CC, Teen Choice and heading to Vancouver soon!)…it’s been quite a ride!!!
M: Just be yourself! The purpose of a blog is to share your passions and thoughts with others who may or may not feel the same way! You can’t take everything too personal, but at the same time you need to feel comfortable putting yourself out there to be judged! Finding a way to channel your feelings, and in my case my OCD (Obsessive Cullen Disorder) has been amazing! There is nothing better than reading the comments others have wrote about something you shared!

Q. What are the pros and cons of being a Twilight fan over the age of 13?
E: Pro-You can act like a teenager squealing over a heartthrob again. Con- The checkout lady gives you the stink eye when you let out a squeal while buying every crap mag with a pic of Rob on the cover.
K: Pro-You can read sexy fanfic that talks about what really happens on Isle Eme and after Bella has been changed…it will really get things going for you if you were on a dry spell!!!Cons-I haven’t found a way to talk about my blog without seeming like a crazy cyber stalker…also I am worried about the crazy fans and Robert Pattinson. The character Edward Cullen is amazing but Robert is more amazing as a humble person who is a very talented musician. I hate the thought of him being hurt over his fame. I really struggle with some aspects of the blog because I don’t want to contribute to the stalking of these young stars…Paparazzi are crazy and even dangerous and I hate that the stars are hounded so much. Once I saw a video of Kristen driving with Dakota Fanning in the car with all of these flashbulbs and it looked so scary—I wanted to quit the blog that day. E always reminds me, “People will get the information somewhere.” So this is how I justify….we don’t bash on our site and we don’t post disgusting videos. We don’t support attacks on the stars, and we stay away from over promoting these types of articles. That’s what makes us Robsten Lovers! We are Lovers, not fighters!
M: Pros- Experience and self control! Given the opportunity to meet the cast, I know I won’t tackle, harm, or scare any of them! Oh, and I just have to say it... Although it’s just a fantasy, at least I know I’d have a much better chance with Rob because I’m of age! LOL! (Sorry tweenies, you’ve read the books, you know Edward loves his mountain lions (aka Cougars!) G-r-r-r-r baby!) Cons- It is harder to openly express your excitement without being viewed as crazy! You should see the funny looks you get when you wear a Team Edward shirt to a PTA meeting! LOL!

Q. Do you feel that the advertising campaign for the Twilight books and films adequately represents the older fan-base? Why or why not?
E: I don't feel like the ads are targeted at one demographic over another. I'm interested in seeing how they do Breaking Dawn though as it's really a passionate movie and I'd hate to see it toned down for the sake of 13 year olds who will be watching it.
K: No, but it doesn’t matter us older fans have figured out a way to make it our own…the saga was written at a reading level for teens but Stephanie being my same age-ish also made it appealing to her own age group and actually all age groups…she is clearly a genius!!!
M: I would say yes and no! It depends on how you look at it. In the beginning it was all geared for the young fan-base. They were no more prepared for the frenzy that took place than the actors were. However, now they are starting to understand the impact the series has made. It is truly ageless. The Twilight Saga has become what every author hopes for. It has touched so many people on so many levels. In my opinion that is what makes it so powerful! A younger fan can identify with the bad boy image, and the “crush” factor, but the older fan can see the “love and struggle” aspect. Now they have made efforts to adjust to the overwhelming mass of Twi-fans! I do feel they try and address all age groups now. Just in very different ways!
