More New Moon Set Reports

Vía examiner tenemos unos buenos extractos de los artículos que publican las páginas fan que participan en los recién inaugurados Fansites Friday. A disfrutar!

Twilight Lexicon: The set is a mock up replica of the house used as the Swan residence in Portland. For those of you worried about continuity from one film to the next, trust me, the production crew is all over that. We learned that the house was constructed in a warehouse and shipped piece by piece to this location where it was set up. It is 100% identical to the house used in Twilightright down to the placement of the overly large trees marking the path to the house as well as the little house across the street. We can see that there are lights and furniture and decorations in the house, but we are told that they are there to create the illusion that this is a real house. All the scenes filmed “inside” the house will be done on a sound stage. This set is for exterior only.

His Golden Eyes: You see Charlie (Billy Burke), Harry Clearwater (Graham Greene), Billy Black (Gil Birmingham) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) looking at maps that are laid out over the front of Bella’s red truck. Charlie looks very worried and looks like he is discussing search plans to find Bella in the woods. Then, all of a sudden Charlie picks up his phone and starts talking to someone, and you see Sam, played by Chaske Spencer, walk out through the woods carrying Bella! Jacob yells “Charlie” when he see’s Sam walking out, and then they all look over. The shot, as we could see it on the monitor, is set up so when Sam walks out with Bella in his arms, you can see him in the background of the shot with Charlie and Jacob talking. It’s really great! Right when you see him walk out, Jacob runs towards them and then Chris yells “cut!” right before Jacob makes it over to them.

Twilight Source: The high school that Summit decided to use as Forks High was David Thompson Secondary, and it doesn't exactly present the same exterior as fans will remember from "Twilight." This will probably be one of the biggest aesthetic changes fans will see from the first film to the second, although Christian Serratos noted in a recent interview with MTV that exterior school scenes (i.e. the parking lot) will be done with green screens.

Twilighters Anonymous: Though they were incredibly busy and just about to film, Gil Birmingham and Kristen Stewart also made a point to drop by and say hello at different times. Kristen, much tinier in person and strikingly pretty, met up with us at the close of our visit but could only speak briefly as she was very focused on staying in character. She discussed the need to say “in the zone” in between shots and related a lot with us as fans, stating that we (the fans) knew better than anyone what Bella went through during the difficult post-breakup times. The previous scene had wrapped and she was incredibly genuine and sweet considering the scene she had just finished and the one she had ahead of her, which was that in which Sam finds her laying in the woods. Kristen was quick to apologize that she couldn’t stay longer and expressed to us that she wished we had come “on a Jacob day”. I found this distinction interesting, because although Edward wasn’t present in the scene (and ironically Jacob was), she labeled the somber post-breakup scene an “Edward day”
