Novedades, lo que se dice novedades, no hay muchas, al menos de interés.

En newmoonmovie.org sale una entrevista con el que va a ser el director de Eclipse (ya sé que me estoy yendo un poco lejos), David Slade. La versión completa la tenéis aquí.

Me parece interesante porque, de entrada, se había mostrado bastante escéptico con el fenómeno Twilight, tanto con la película como con los libros (pensaba que eran literatura para quinceañeras, literalmente) y ahora parece que está tan entusiasmado con el proyecto como los otros directores que le han precedido. Vaya cambio, no? También apunta algo de información sobre la próxima película.

“One of the cool things about shooting a movie based on a book is that it is not a film the studio can really change,” he tells us. “Not that the studio would want to change anything, of course!” David promises that they will stick close to the book – there is no sense in changing the story at all.' What will differ about Slade’s Twilight? “I don’t really know. We haven’t even started shooting yet.” While the director says he has a basic idea of what he wants to do with it, he is more concerned with telling a good story than being “different.” “It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two,” he admits. “The third book is from Bella’s point of view, but the film will be more objective.” And just how will he do that? “We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jacob, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.”

David didn’t read the books until the studio was interested in bringing him in – then he did his homework. “It was tough for a middle-aged man to get into,” he admits, “since they are written for 15-year-old girls. But once I got past that, I found them to be quite good books, and a great story.” He is especially excited about the great script from Dexter writer/producer Melissa Rosenberg. Right now, they are still in preproduction, with plans to start shooting later in the year.

When asked about his list of genre credits (including 30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, and mind-bending music videos for bands such as Aphex Twin, Stone Temple Pilots, and System of a Down), Slade admits to being a genre fan. “How many other chances do you get to create your own world from scratch?” He also tells us: “When I first got cable, I watched FEARnet constantly. I really loved Midnight Meat Train. I wanted to direct it – the studio sent me the script – but in the end I was a little too late.” While nothing post-Eclipse is written in blood, he is looking at a few other projects, all in the horror/fantasty/sci-fi genre.

Parece que los ensayos empiezan hacia Agosto y el rodaje en sí, a finales de Septiembre (hasta hace poco, lo que se podía encontrar en las páginas web no decía nada hasta Octubre).

En las páginas de referencia podéis encontrar nuevas fotos de Robert y Kristen (por separado, qué pena). Él empezó ayer el rodaje de Remember Me en NY (hay fotos del set de ayer y hoy en robertandkristen.org) y Kristen sigue con su planning agotador yendo y viniendo del estudio de grabación con los preparativos de The Runaways (en la misma página, lo dudabais?).

Yo sigo pensando que están separados sólo por motivos de trabajo y que, cuando tengan unos días libres o terminen de rodar, se pegarán una escapadita juntos. Aquí estoy dividida entre el deseo de que estén felices y agustito, lo cual implica 0 paparazzis*, y las ganas de verles juntos de nuevo y, esta vez sí, confirmar-LO. Claro, que para eso tiene que apetecerles (digo el hacelo oficial) y me parece normal que pasen un poco (de hacerlo oficial, bis)...

Para los Robsten-escépticos: podéis decir que miradas y gestos de complicidad no significan nada, que el que pasen tiempo juntos y se mantengan uno al lado del otro aún cuando están en grupo sólo denota una gran amistad, podéis ignorar las declaraciones de RobPatt diciendo que para él el amor nace de una gran amistad (anteriores a todo pero que dan idea de cómo piensa), podéis decir que el que fueran a cenar solos, sin nadie más del equipo, después de la gala de Mtv no cambia nada y que durmieran ellos dos solos, sin nadie más del quipo otra vez, en el mismo hotel no significa que compartieran habitación, podéis no dar crédito a las declaraciones de testigos en el hotel sobre la actitud dulce y cariñosa que tenían el uno con el otro, pero hay una cosa objetiva: Michael Angarano sigue sin aparecer por-ninguna-parte. Desde...Marzo? JA!

*Hay fotos nuevas del acoso al que me refiero (no las pongo porque no me parece, aunque las de Robert son "divertidas"). A Rob le acosa una melé de fans (femeninas) que se le avalanza encima mientras rueda en las calles de NY (las tenéis en newmoonmovie.org) y a Kristen le persiguen los paparazzis a donde sea que vaya, en este caso - y en otras ocasiones más - la gasolinera (están también en newmoonmovie.org, pero hay más en robertandkristen.org donde se le ve la cara de cansancio, aunque sin perder la sonrisa).
